The Story of a Photographer

I grew up in New York City. I got into photography through technology and graphics, training my eye to notice what other people walked past. I learned more on the street than in any classroom: the way light hit Manhattan in the morning, the way a stranger’s face turned toward something off-frame. On September 11th I started shooting what I saw, that morning and the weeks after. I haven’t stopped.
